Safety ⚠️
& Training

Useful links: HSE Unit website -  EP Safety Office website -  Safety Trainingswebpage )

ISIEC submission:  Users with experiments running for < 3 weeks, have to fill the Initial Safety Information on Experiments at CERN (ISIEC) on the web:  ISIEC Web Form (Login required! - If it is your first connection, once you are logged in, click on PS/SPS TEMPORARY EXPERIMENTS → ISIEC / Safety Clearance).
This form should be sent at least 1 week in advance to schedule the Safety Clearance visit. Please, make sure you have finished the installation of the experiment for this visit. For experiment running for > 3 weeks, please send an email to the EP Safety Office. The EP Safety Clearance is mandatory in order to operate your set-up!

The Experiment Safety Contact or EXSO can always refer to the EP Safety team for any questions regarding the experiment's safety.

Experiment Safety Panel and Electrical Safety Checklist:  The experiment safety panel, containing contact information and hazards related to the experiment, should be posted on your counting rooms and experimental areas during your run. You can download the poster here (login required). Together with the poster, you will find the electrical safety checklist.

For the usage of flammable gas, please contact the EP Flammable Gas Safety Officer at least 1 month in advance. Contacts and detailed information can be found on this link. For any other specific hazard (lasers class 3b and 4, cryogenics, list of prohibited materials, etc.), please consult the EP Safety Office page.

Always remember to wear your dosimeter, safety shoes, and helmet before entering experimental areas!
